We had the good fortune of connecting with Ariel Sanchez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Ariel, we’d love to hear more about how you thought about starting your own business?
One of the biggest reasons behind me getting into real estate is not only to help people with one of the biggest transactions of their lives, but to also teach the power of investing through real estate. Investing into real estate early on in life can become essential for one who is not only looking for a more comfortable life, but can also create generational wealth for your family to enjoy through time.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
To me, being a real estate consultant is more than just assisting people purchasing or selling a home – it’s about the experience that my clients have from beginning to end. Being in this industry, i’ve had my fair share in meeting people who see clients purely as transactional. That is what gives the real estate industry a bad rep at times.

By going the extra mile, this makes my clients’ real estate experience a lot more memorable & special. Rather than an additional transaction that they have to complete in order to move into their next home. From the very beginning, I try to get a clear understanding from my clients on what their end goals are and make sure to come up with a tailored strategy for them. This industry can be very demanding and stressful at times , but you have to consistently be there for your client when needed. Not only do they appreciate the extra effort but it also reminds them that you’re actually there to help and not just there for a paycheck. Remember, you’re there to help guide your clients to their end goal. That is what allows me to stand out from the rest of the real estate agents within your market.

Is being in this industry easy? Not at all. You’re constantly facing rejection day in and day out. But once you finally get to that ‘yes’, that is what makes everything worthwhile. One of the biggest lessons that I’ve learned being in this industry is to also adapt to my surroundings. Not every client that I’ve worked with is the same, so why should I have only one strategy to work from? By adapting to my clients’ wants & needs, this allows for me to better guide them through their real estate journey and ensure that they are taken care of in a proper manner.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
We would definitely start by grabbing coffee at the Starbucks Reserve Roastery within the Capitol Hill neighborhood. Then we would take a walk at the Piers close to Pike Place Market and take a tour of the Space Needle, these are two Seattle staples that one must stop by when visiting. From there we would make our way through the Ballard neighborhood to end the day where there are shops, restaurants, and bars.

The best part of living in Seattle is that we are also about a 30-minute drive from outdoor activities as well. If hiking and camping is something you enjoy, there are plenty of trails and camp grounds to choose from!

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I would like dedicate my shoutout to my mentors that I’ve been able to have thus far in life. Growing up as a first-gen in the US, it can become very difficult finding your path in life. And at times can feel like you’re walking down a dark room. If it wasn’t for my mentors who I’ve met throughout my life, I would’ve never made it this far in my career.

Most importantly – my parents. Not only did they sacrifice a lot in life in order to provide me a better future but they are also there to push me to strive for more whenever I get complacent. They are one of the main reasons that I wake up every morning and continue to push myself to achieve that next milestone in life.
