We had the good fortune of connecting with Aniya Henry and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aniya, we’d love for you to start things off by telling us something about your industry that we and others not in the industry might be unaware of?
In this industry, it may seem that it’s over saturated or that everyone is this and that. You can only go as far as your hustle and talent takes you. Everyone can be who they want-yes. However, people want to work with those who execute a different vision. As a wardrobe stylist, I like any other person have to create my own niche and my own aesthetic that is appealing to a broad audience and not geared to just one. In this industry of Fashion, the one thing that will set you apart is your creative process.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
What I  want the world to know about my brand, is that you don’t have to always shop luxury to “show” that you have style. It’s all about how you put things together. Sustainable is the number one thing about my brand. I love to find and handpicking each piece. To me- nothing really goes out of style. Things come back full circle every few years and the 70s Fashion Era all through the 90s is iconic. You are going to end up rocking a piece that isn’t “cool” now later down the road. Though, when you do- I’ll be there to rework the piece into something uniquely tailored to you.

One thing I do enjoy, is picking up vintage pieces and giving thanks to it but not reworking it changing anything about it.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Anywhere with street tacos. I would even say the zoo. The best part is going to the highest part of the hill- eating donuts and watching the sunrise in the morning.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
My Family, the models, photographers and ALL of the creatives who believe in my vision.
