We had the good fortune of connecting with Alexandra Boos and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Alexandra, other than deciding to work for yourself, what was the single most important decision you made that contributed to your success?
The single most important decision I made when launching my own talent management and coaching company was to have a spirit-led business model. Not religion, but spirit. In the fast pace of entertainment and fashion, I hustle hard for my talent. It hit me in the frenzy of cold calls, emails and networking, that I was checking my faith at the door come Monday morning. I am called to a new heart-centered paradigm of working in Hollywood and on the catwalk. I wanted a career of service in alignment with joy, kindness, and integrity in an industry that often calls for kill or be killed behavior. My agency is committed to helping and teaching our clients to achieve their dreams through this approach. I have discovered that is where the miracles live.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My talent management practice uses an approach to helping clients make their dreams come true that I call the Faith*Talent*Hustle Approach. This three-prong methodology starts with excavating the dreams that the talent feels God has placed in their heart. The dreams that are so big, that they are scary and they have no idea how to bring them to fruition. This God-sized dream and listening to guidance from within is part of the first step: Faith. And I have a toolbox and process I teach to help as this first step can be the most challenging of all. The second step that I call Talent is about developing the gifts and abilities that are within. Acting classes, singing lessons, runway coach – whatever my client needs to keep developing their craft and going deeper into their abilities and passions in order to have impact on the world. Lastly, is Hustle. The strategic and consistent hard work and action toward achieving goals with a commitment to loving and learning along the way. This methodology allows for joy along the journey toward celebrity as a talent lives in alignment with God’s calling.
If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I would take my friend two places. First, to Florence Italy to be inspired by what artists can create with their hard work, talent and faith. That city during the Renaissance area was a vortex of creativity that is nothing short of awe-inspiring. It changes me each time I visit. And then my friend and I would go to the beach to bask in the beauty of the ocean and earth. Einstein said, “There are only two ways to live your life. One is as though nothing is a miracle. The other is as though everything is a miracle.” Personally, I choice everything is a miracle.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
My shout out is to God and my angels for never leaving my side, even when I ignored their prompting and guidance. Miracles are all around us but in the hustle and bustle we often do not even notice them. If you are feeling lost, alone, heartbroken or do not know the first step in how to make your dream come true, please know that you are supported. As a talent manager, I have seen such amazing things happen to propel forward a client’s dreams. It has left me with a rock-solid faith that we are all wired uniquely to contribute something during our lifetime that no one else can do in our place. Do not give up hope.
