We had the good fortune of connecting with kyle trent and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi kyle, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
Our social impact is full circle. From the inception of Kole’s art and my managing career, we have set out to not only build a name for Kole but through that credibility, build a strong foundation to help other artists succeed. We now have an online gallery, a fine art printing facility and our very own mural festival. All of which have helped stimulate the artists we have worked with, as well as the economy, esthetics, community well being and youth in our reach

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
One of my favorite sayings is “every over night success takes 10 years”, we are only on year 8. Business isnt easy until you realize you dont have to do business like everyone else. Relationships, honesty, patience and adaptability are core traits of our that we instill in everything we do. It helps when your brother is Picasso reincarnated 🙂 Aside from Kole’s art, we were lucky enough to reside in a town that had some art culture and we just wanted to emphasize it’s beauty. We started the Cocoa Beach Mural Project in 2018 and got the attention of a lot of people. That was our segway into the mural festival this year. As we had hoped, the mural festival was an opportunity for artists and many first time muralist to be seen on a big stage. It send chills up my spine to humbly say, so many we offered one or multiple murals jobs after that we didn’t even know about until debriefing after. During the festival we had a couple high school students come paint walls (unheard of). Through our voting platform during the fest, we were able to raise some money to give back to the local high school arts program. We anticipate being able to do this in years to come for all of the high schools in the county since the arts budget was completely cut a few years back and it’s a shame. On top of the fest, we have our own fine at printing shop. that offers quality prints at prices you can’t find. Before we opened the print shop, we were printing for other artists. We agreed that Kole was going to be an artist for a while so we bought 2 printers. Getting into the numbers we saw the astronomical margins these other shops were making off of artists so we decided to do better. By artists for artists at rates and best practices to help the artists succeed

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
By far the Cocoa Beach Mural Tour located in Downtown Cocoa Beach. Will be available to the public again Dec. 1, as it is being updated from the murals added during the fest. FREE to do and a couple hours of fun. A couple good places to eat: Tiny Turtle, Coconuts, Coastal Produce, Juice & Java

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
By far, our parents, Ken and Patty Trent. If it wasn’t for their constant support and education on business over the years, we would have had a lot larger learning curve in the beginning. In relation to the mural fest, Kenne Wells (Executive Director of Cocoa Beach Main Street) The non profit who runs events for the city and helped get us in front of the right people to make the event happen
