We had the good fortune of connecting with Brittany Noelle and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Brittany, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
I worked in a gym setting for years and then went on to work in the corporate environment. I was frustrated that gyms were taking the majority of my income when I was the one doing all of the work prospecting for clients and getting them to their fitness goals. When I tried the corporate route I was even more frustrated that after working my tail off for a year, I was only expected to take a 2% raise which didn’t even cover inflation in California. I wanted the ability to make more money by putting in more work as my own boss. This is what inspired me to create my own fitness business. I would be doing 100% of the work but also earning 100% of the income.
What should our readers know about your business?
I run an online personal training business. My company motto is “I do fitness that fits you!” The goal is to create effective fitness programs that truly fits each individual’s unique lifestyle. Not a cookie cutter approach to fitness. I want to conform to the needs of my clients in stead of making them fit a specific method.
Initial challenges were convincing people of the effectiveness of online training and also finding the best platform to execute it. The pandemic certainly helped people to see the value in online training and also forced a lot of tech companies to step their games up when I came to fitness apps and software.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
We would for sure head to Universal Studios to go to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter. We would also need to visitor the Disney parks. Take a drive to Malibu to wine taste, visit the beaches, and have dinner at Nobu. We would also spend some time eating at some of the awesome restaurants in the Hollywood areas like Da Michele , Beauty & Essex, and Gracias Madre. Maybe even catch a show at the Hollywood bowl. Also, bar hopping in Santa Monica/ Venice would be another must.
The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
Gwen Lane has been my mentor for growing a successful online business. She helped build the framework for me to be a full time content creator and also and taught me a lot about entrepreneurship for my fitness business.
