We had the good fortune of connecting with Emma Schneider and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Emma, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
Being creative has something that has always been in the foreground of my life.

Regardless of what ventures I would pursue, I’ve always felt the urge to put myself out there in a more creative sense. When I started my platform, I was scared. Scared of rejection, scared of the way others would perceive me, and the way that I would be judged.

It’s vulnerable to be a presence in social, in a more influential sense, but the feeling of gratitude and fulfillment when you find your audience is something that is indescribable. I was always on a search to find people who really got me, who has similar interests and goals in life, is the most amazing thing.

So for me, I pursued a creative career for the sole purpose of community building and scratching that creative itch.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
Hello! My name is Emma, I am a content creator on Instagram that loves showcasing my passions. I primarily focus on pop culture and lifestyle and showcase these through Instagram static posts and reels.

I started my social journey 5 years ago, primarily as a place to share my favorite photos and to stop spamming my family on my personal accounts. In this past half-decade, I’ve found a love for social media, and creating, so much so, that this has become a business for me! I love doing brand collaborations with incredible companies, and being able to. create content as a part-time gig.

Getting here, like most things, was not an easy road. I was challenged with an identity crisis and that mid-twenty battle of finding myself within the midst of the most formative years of my life. What always stayed consistent was my creative space on Instagram. Being able to have a dedicated corner of the internet where I can connect with other creators, with similar passions ended up being an incredibly stable part of my life that flooded me with opportunities.

Through this creative venture, I was able to monetize my platforms, find a line of work that made me passionate, as well as create lifelong friendships along the road. I’m grateful for every part of my story, as it has made me the person I am proud of today, and got me to this point.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
As a typical Southern California girl, I love being able to explore incredible places! I’m so blessed to have the variety that SoCal has to offer and be able to experience things I wouldn’t have the chance to otherwise. It’s difficult to narrow down some of my favorite places, but if I had to, here is my plan:

First of all, I’m a HUGE Disney girl, so it goes without saying that we would have a few days of the trip dedicated to some park visits. I think it’s an imperative part of the SoCal experience.

After that, I would love to check out some of my favorite coffee shops; the best way to catch up with someone is over a cup of coffee. Some of my favorites would include: Able Coffee Roasters (Huntington Beach), Coffee Dose (Costa Mesa), and Bear Coast Coffee (San Clemente).

I would also LOVE to show her some of my favorite hotspots for some yummy food! I love getting sushi at Sushi Damu (Tustin), and SteelCraft (Garden Grove) has an incredible variety of amazing treats.

I would love to give a shoutout to my family and fiancé who have continuously supported me on this creative journey!
