We had the good fortune of connecting with Hamraj Sidhu and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Hamraj, what do you attribute your success to?
Authenticity is one of the biggest keys to running any business or reaping any success. I’ve had multiple instances where I had to personally check myself for trying to be someone who I wasn’t simply because, it just didn’t feel right. That same ideology can be taken into anything that you do. Being true in every action you take leads for others to feel drawn to you, as it directly reflects on the intentions & care you put behind your business / career.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?
I am a producer / mix engineer. I tend to dip into creative direction as well when the time presents itself.

I’ve always been creatively driven. I Began coding at the age of 11, creating scripts for video games to pretty much… cheat, but that’s besides the point. I followed up with animation, creating websites, graphic design, and video editing up until the age of 15, where I found my true love for music. I’ve always been a fan of music. I grew up on B.o.B, Kanye West, T.I. , The Game, Outkast etc. Although, my biggest influence was Jon Bellion. I came across his “BTS” videos on YouTube which showcased his process for songwriting & producing and that’s when my life had changed indefinitely.

The challenges I’ve faced were very typical to what most creatives suffer with on a day to day basis. Imposter syndrome, self-doubt, finances and mental breakdowns are only a few to name. However, I’d like to believe as If I’ve found my peace with those challenges. I enjoy being able to wake up & create something new. Even if I’m faced with a creative block, the fact I got to try is a win within itself. My personality trait consists of reaching new heights of creativity in result of me being my worst critic, so for me to enjoy small wins is very important since it helps me keep sane / motivated.

My devotion, passion, & level of genius is all I want people to focus on, in regards to my craft.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
See this is a trick question because I tend to do nothing except work. Although, I’m definitely a person that enjoys trying new restaurants. Currently my favorite spot to eat at is Basil Box. 10/10 eats, large portions & cheap.

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
There are too many moving pieces / people in my life that encourage my success. Kaylee Ameri, my soul sister, is someone I began making music with & taking it seriously. She’s pushed me to heights of my career that led me to meet like-minded creatives with those same qualities. My brothers Kyle & V gave me a space to work during the pandemic, allowing me to spend my days locked inside the studio. Found myself spending 14 hours a day for 2 years, finding a new love for my craft. They watched me grow into my higher level of creativity, working alongside immensely talented artists such as; TRS, LUIS SAINT ROSE, TREY DENZYL. Funny that all of the people listed make up my creative label, CARED FOR.
