We had the good fortune of connecting with Aqua The Corgi and Kay and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Aqua, we’d love to hear what makes you happy.
What makes me happy to own my pet dog’s social media accounts, is that: – I get to connect with many kinds of people and dog friends from all over the world.
– I’ve had lots of chances to work with brands and companies, including dyson, Stainmaster, American Express, Petsmart, decoy wines, unite hair (San Diego Brand), Ollie(dog food), Hyatt Hotel (Manchester Grand Hyatt San Diego), City of Huntington Beach, Realty short film commercial, Cheval Winery (Escondido), Seghesio Family Vineyards, W hotel (San Francisco), Furbo, “a Dog’s Way Home” movie’s Blu-Ray, DVD and digital promotion event etc. These opportunities were also great experiences as I am a photographer (www.onlykphotography.com)
Aqua and I also made playmates which is great because we can share all kinds of informations as a dog owner, just like human parents and kids community. Also several foreign travelers even stopped by just to meet and greet made us extremely happy and blessed.

While I’m in a difficult personal life, these connections help me feel less saddened, and actually makes me happy or smile, or laugh at how silly our furry friends do. It also makes me stay socialized, and always have someone to interact with, which is very helpful during my tough times. I’m definitely delightful to have my dog, Aqua’s account.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I started to learn DSLR photography when Aqua joined my life. My image posts have been great quality compare to smartphone captured images. In addition, Aqua knows over 40 commands which inspired many viewers.

To be honest, it was a lot easier to grow our account before, because Instagram used to be a lot more simple. Now it’s more business-y, and it prefers more video posts. Its algorithm is a lot strict, and it’s definitely making us lose control to stay survive.
I started having Aqua’s social media account just to want to share with viewers what happinesses Aqua shares with me, and hoping to get more photography related opportunities. Those won’t still change, however, to get our account back to run steady again, I will need more efforts to keep it up. In the future, I’d like to share more photos of Aqua, create Corgi photobook collections, more designs for Corgi Merch (aquacorg.com), work as influencers with brands that we want to recommend to our viewers, and more happinesses that Aqua shares with me!

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Definitely wine tour first! PLUS…

– 90 min Harbor Cruise by Hornblower Cruises
– La Jolla, Gaslamp, Little Italy, Old Town, Coronado Island, Balboa Park,
– 1-2 day trip in LA: Beverly Hills, See Hollywood signs, Film making tour at W&B in Burbank, Santa Monica
