We had the good fortune of connecting with G-Moto and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi G-Moto, let’s start by talking about what inspires you?
My music is inspired by Video Game Music, K-Pop, Anime, Pop, Hip-Hop/Rap, Taiko, and many more! The musician who inspires me the most is Lindsey Stirling. Her ability to move and play the violin at the same time is amazing.

Please tell us more about your art. We’d love to hear what sets you apart from others, what you are most proud of or excited about. How did you get to where you are today professionally. Was it easy? If not, how did you overcome the challenges? What are the lessons you’ve learned along the way. What do you want the world to know about you or your brand and story?
My journey as a musician is not so traditional. Most Musicians I have interacted with tend to grow up learning music at an early age. As for me, I did not have any formal training. I learned how to play the bamboo flute and flutebox on my own, thanks to YouTube. I learned how to play the songs by ear. If you love music and enjoy music, I believe that it is never too late to start learning music.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
Balboa Park is the best place to show people in San Diego at any time in the year! Home of many museums and events. There are plenty of beaches and hiking trails to explore in San Diego. The Convoy District is my favorite spot for food and drinks. There are a variety of amazing Asian restaurants that feature dim sum, KBBQ, boba, etc.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
