We had the good fortune of connecting with Natalie Perez and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Natalie, how has your perspective on work-life balance evolved over time?
My work life balance has changed a lot. Before I use to work everyday and anytime I had a chance too. It was an obsession and addiction I needed to work. Now I feel like I’m less hard on myself about working everyday, I’m putting my family & my self care first. I’ve notice I’m less stressed that way and happier.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
Just knowing where I want to be and focusing on my path. I had never been an easy road always a lot of obstacles. Over coming these challenges were hard lots of crying and talking to myself and telling myself I can do anything with my family support behind me. I’m just a regular girl born in Los Angeles with a Hispanic culture background that came from nothing and is going to leave with everything. I work hard every day I’m very ambitious. I wake up everyday blessed and see my two beautiful children’s face and know that I want to make sure their future is bright. My brand golden beauty LA is a Cosmetics line that I’m launching very soon I’m still testing out some samples for now it is going to be an eyebrow line I will be coming out with eyebrow pencils and eyebrow gel’s It’s some thing I’m very passionate about especially being an eyebrow specialist.

If you had a friend visiting you, what are some of the local spots you’d want to take them around to?
I really like this especially since I’m born and raised in Los Angeles Breakfast-Antigua Bread in Highland Park Lunch-Fred 62 in LA Dinner- Tatsu in West Hollywood Drink-Apartment 503 in Korea Town Visit-Angeles Crest for Hike & Disneyland/California Adventure Hangout- Santee Ally’s in DTLA Swan Boats in Echo Park

Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
Shoutout to my mother and father for coming to this country with nothing and giving my siblings and I everything and more. Arada the father of my children for helping me with them so I can grow in my career and grow my cosmetics line. Thank you for always telling me I can do anything I put my mind to it and just keeping me motivated. Candice for believing in me and helping me with all my marketing and advertisement. Thank you for being such a kind person and taking me under your wing. Last but not least shoutout to MYSElF Natalie, you’ve came a long way and thank you for not giving up.
