We had the good fortune of connecting with Kirsten Incorvaia and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kirsten, is your business focused on helping the community? If so, how?
I’m on a mission to help women activate their authentic heart-centered creative expression and leadership. When women come together to birth our creative dreams, we send out a sonic boom of unconditional love, compassion, beauty, and care that nourishes and revitalizes our entire planet.

I truly believe women are the medicine our world needs to heal all the major challenges of our times. We are the life-givers, nurturers, and vision keepers for what we know is possible. The more women who step into heart-centered leadership, the more our world will shift toward balance, sustainability, and a future filled with hope.

Can you give our readers an introduction to your business? Maybe you can share a bit about what you do and what sets you apart from others?
In my 15-year entrepreneur journey, I’m most proud of investing in myself at every turn. Even in the face of immense challenges, I never gave up on myself or my dream (though I came close many times).

My biggest challenges have been internal: imposter syndrome, self-doubt, and comparison. Though I was always rich in passion and vision, I never considered myself a confident person and was often paralyzed by fear. When I started working with my first coach 10 years ago, my whole life changed. I finally found the tools to bypass the death grip of my inner critic and follow my heart toward authentic self-expression. So I signed up for every coaching and leadership training I could get my hands on, closed my first business, and dedicated my life to sharing what I found with other women hungry to live the truth of their heart.

Of course, like every entrepreneur, I’ve faced many external challenges as well. I started my career in an economic recession and have weathered many fluctuations in the marketplace, including a major downturn during the pandemic. I’ve had seasons where I couldn’t work because of health issues. I’ve lost tens of thousands of dollars (and years of sweat equity) in business ventures that never got off the ground. I’ve been buried by credit card debt to the point of considering bankruptcy. I’ve had painful falling outs with business partners. I’ve invested enormous amounts of time, energy and heart in launches that never made a dollar.

And yet, I’m still standing.

The greatest lesson has been to stay true to my greater vision and deeper WHY no matter what. And to ask for help. Lots and lots of help. My moments of complete breakdown forced me to lean on my trusted inner circle (and sometimes strangers) for support, which opened me to receive gifts beyond my wildest imagination. Vulnerability opens a door to connection and transformation like nothing else.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
For me, nothing beats a hot summer day at my favorite beach, Swami’s. Beach umbrella, cold watermelon, warm sun on my skin, soft sand between my toes. Long, lazy swims in the ocean. It’s my little slice of paradise.

For going out, I prioritize events that center on community, art, music, and dance. Trilogy Sanctuary is my go-to for Ecstatic Dance and full moon drum circles. Church of Music is my favorite for outdoor DJ dance parties. Full Moon Pole & Dance is my home base for sensual movement and supportive sisterhood. Sesshin Art Gallery is the destination for inspiring local art and creative connection. The Group SD is my weekly hub for local entrepreneurs. These are the micro communities that sustain me.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I’ve been deeply blessed to have incredible mentors and guides in my personal and professional life. I wouldn’t be where I am without the support of my coaches Zoe Wild, Theresa Vargo, Ronit Drobey, Chelsea Adair, and Amanda Masters; my leadership mentors Karen & Henry Kimsey-House; my incredibly supportive family; and hundreds of amazing clients who have made this work possible. Special shout out to those who donated generous financial gifts to fund my mission.
