Meet Isaac Suwan | Video Creator & Team Lead

We had the good fortune of connecting with Isaac Suwan and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Isaac, do you have some perspective or insight you can share with us on the question of when someone should give up versus when they should keep going?
When you are willing to give 110% of your effort into something no matter how the odds are looking, that’s your sign to keep going. If you’ve ever had that burning desire to pursue the life that you want to live to the point where not taking action will haunt you for the rest of your life, then that’s your sign to start. The last thoughts I want to carry with me when I leave this earth are the “What if’s”. I cannot be wasted potential. God gives us these dreams and aspirations for a reason and no matter how crazy or out of reach they may seem to your current situation, get up and go chase them. This world is legit anyone’s for the taking, however it is up to you to go and take it.

Alright, so let’s hear more about your backstory. How did you get your foot in the door with content creation, and what’s the biggest lesson that you’ve learned throughout your career?
After getting my first phone when I was 13 years old I became a big Youtube kid watching a ton of big YouTubers like DDG, Logan Paul, Jake Paul, Ricegum, Qais Omar and all of the 2 Hype guys. Long form content seemed a lot harder for me to get into at the time, I felt like I needed so much to start. I thought so deep into it to where I began to experience analysis paralysis. This is essentially when you overthink an idea and its outcomes to where you freeze up and don’t take any action. A couple years went by and in 2019 I discovered Tiktok, which was the first ever short form content platform to come out after Vine. I checked it out for myself to see what it was all about, and I noticed that the most regular people were able to generate tens of millions of views for making the most simple videos. So I realized if they can do it, how can’t I? I posted here and there whenever I had free time away from school, basketball and church class for fun to see where it would take me and in my first month I was able to accumulate my first 10,000 followers. Quarantine hit, and it didn’t take me too long to realize that we are never going to get this amount of free time back ever again, so I decided to fully lock in on content. I began posting a minimum of 10 videos every single day. Not missing a day, never re-using the same sound, always trying something new. Taking action on every single trend and idea that came to mind, I kept putting up shots. After repeating this process every single day over the course of 1 year I was able to scale up to my first 100,000 Tiktok followers. And boy did it feel amazing. To backtrack a little bit: growing up I didn’t play anything else besides basketball. I didn’t play video games, I stopped playing with toys pretty early in my childhood, I just loved being outside playing basketball. The game of basketball taught me so many life lessons, but the main one was this: Keep shooting. I truly believe that this life lesson brought me to where I am today, because if I got too wrapped up in negative channel performance I probably would’ve quit. Just like how if I got too wrapped up in my channel’s outstanding performance I probably would’ve become complacent. I believe my story hits all of these points. No it was not easy, no it’s not meant for everyone, and no there is no guarantee that you can make this hobby a full time living. Even though I am not the biggest creator out there yet, this is the beauty of the journey. Everyone has their own story, take pride in it and have faith that your story is still being written.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
I’m from Southern California so I would definitely have to take them to the Santa Monica Pier, walk around Rodeo Drive, eat at In-N-Out and catch a basketball game at the Crypto.com Arena.
Who else deserves some credit and recognition?
I am a huge believer in the big man upstairs, Jesus Christ. Son of the father, who died on the cross for our sins so that we may experience the gift of eternal life. He is the reason why I am able to wake up every single day to do what I do, he is the man who got me where I’m at today, and the man who is going to take me to the heights I’ve never thought I could reach. Not only do I want to thank him, but I want to thank all of my hometown friends, family, and the friends I’ve made along the way for supporting me in every stage of life as I make my dreams a reality. I also want to thank every single person who has ever watched me, because I can put in all the work at my body’s disposal but it is ultimately the viewers who allow me to keep doing what I love. Another shoutout to the IE – my elementary, middle, and high school- and finally, my church.
