We had the good fortune of connecting with Oscar Riveros and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Oscar, what do you attribute your success to?
I believe the most important factor has been adaptability. Marketing is constantly shifting — what worked five years ago may not work today — so the ability to pivot and evolve has been essential. At Lead Wolf, we’ve built a reputation not just for creating beautiful content, but for connecting that content to results.

Our success comes from blending two worlds: the creative and the strategic. On one side, we’re filmmakers, photographers, and storytellers. On the other, we’re strategists focused on data, conversions, and growth. That mix has allowed us to stand out because clients don’t just walk away with a polished video — they walk away with something that impacts their business.

What should our readers know about your business?
Lead Wolf was born out of a simple idea: businesses deserve creative work that doesn’t just look good but actually drives results. We set ourselves apart by blending strategy and storytelling — pairing cinematic production with digital marketing that is measurable and goal-driven. Our clients don’t just get a video or a campaign; they get tools that help their business grow.

The journey hasn’t been easy. Like many entrepreneurs, I started with limited resources and plenty of uncertainty. What carried us forward was adaptability — the willingness to listen, pivot, and reinvent our approach as the industry and client needs changed. We’ve learned to speak the language of business owners, framing marketing in terms of phone calls, sales, and growth rather than just clicks or jargon.

What I’m most proud of today is the team we’ve built and the relationships we’ve fostered with local businesses and community organizations. From restaurants and hotels to nonprofits, we’ve had the privilege of telling stories that make a real impact. The biggest lesson along the way has been that creativity and strategy aren’t opposites — they’re partners. When you align vision with execution, you can create something that lasts.

What I want the world to know about Lead Wolf is that we’re not just another agency or production company — we’re partners in growth. We exist to help businesses thrive by connecting their story to their success.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend was visiting, we’d definitely start in Bird Rock. I’d take them to Bird Rock Coffee Roasters for a morning coffee — it’s one of my favorite spots to slow down and take in the local vibe. For food, we’d head to Wheat & Water, which has become a staple for me — great atmosphere, great pizza, and it really captures the laid-back energy of San Diego.

From there, it would be all about balance: exploring the beaches, catching sunsets along the coast, and spending time in the small neighborhood spots that make San Diego feel like home. The city has its big attractions, but for me, it’s the local gems like Bird Rock that really show people what makes this place special.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to the people and communities who have been part of this journey. First, my team at Lead Wolf — none of what we do would be possible without their creativity, dedication, and trust. I also want to recognize the local businesses and community organizations, Partners such as Mr. Moto Pizza, Coast Creative and Barrio Donas, who remind me every day why storytelling matters — because it can strengthen communities. I’m deeply grateful to my wife, whose support and encouragement keep me grounded and motivated through every stage of this journey. Finally, I’m thankful for the mentors and collaborators who’ve pushed me to grow, and for my family, who’ve always encouraged me to keep creating.
