Meet Ashley Draklich | Holistic Space Holder

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ashley Draklich and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ashley, do you have any habits that you feel contribute to your effectiveness?
Rituals, for sure. I start every morning with breathwork, movement, and stillness before anything else—which helps me lead from clarity instead of chaos. I also treat curiosity as a habit—trying things even if they might flop, asking bold questions in rooms where I don’t know anyone, and always choosing growth over comfort. And finally, following through. It’s easy to get inspired. But the habit of showing up, again and again, even on the uninspired days? That’s where the magic (and momentum) really happens. Once I realized my natural MO is to quit when something doesn’t work out as expected, I changed my habit to doubling down and being my own best cheerleader. If we don’t believe in ourselves then who will? Taking imperfect action will get you closer to your goal than staying stuck in the stories we tell ourselves.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
Om with Ash was never something I planned in a traditional sense—I didn’t set out to start a business or carve out a path less traveled. But I felt an undeniable intuitive nudge… a quiet but persistent knowing that I had something meaningful to offer the world. And I couldn’t ignore it.
What sets my work apart is the way I lead from vulnerability and presence. I don’t show up with all the answers—I show up with curiosity, deep listening, and a wide open heart. I create spaces where people feel safe to be fully themselves, wherever they are on their journey. Life isn’t a problem to solve—it’s a wave to ride, a gift to cherish. I ride that wave alongside my clients, holding space for their growth, grief, joy, and everything in between.
Success, to me, doesn’t look like a dollar amount or a packed calendar. It looks like impact. It looks like a woman leaving a retreat with tears in her eyes because she finally feels at home in her body. It looks like someone reclaiming their voice after years of silence. I’m most proud of the community that’s formed around Om with Ash—a space that invites both tenderness and transformation. Leading my first retreat last year was one of the most empowering moments of my life. I walked away knowing in every cell: this is it. I would do this work for free if I could—because it doesn’t just light me up, it changes me too.
Getting to where I am now hasn’t been easy. It’s taken a lot of inner work, a willingness to be seen, and a daily practice of showing up—even when doubt whispers in my ear. The biggest lesson I’ve learned is simple but powerful: take action. If we believe we can’t, we’re right. If we believe we can, we’re right. The ego wants safety and certainty—but real magic lives in the leap.
I want the world to know that this business was born from healing. From choosing to trust myself again. From saying yes to the unknown. And from believing that when we open our hearts, we open the door to a life so much bigger than fear. That’s what Om with Ash is all about.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
If my best friend came to visit, I’d want them to experience the absolute magic of SoCal—equal parts chill, adventure, and soul.
We’d kick things off with brunch at Café Topes in Carlsbad—because their pancakes are basically a love language. Then we’d spend the day soaking up the sun with a beach walk or just lounging with our toes in the sand.
Thursday night, we’d hit the Oceanside Night Market—the energy there is electric, with live music, local makers, and seriously good food from all over the world.
One day would definitely be reserved for a Coronado Island adventure. We’d visit the iconic Hotel del Coronado, wander around the shops, and spend the afternoon beachside just vegging out and soaking up the sun.
I’m also a bit of a nerd (in the best way), so I’d take them to Red Door Escape Room in Encinitas—because who doesn’t love a little teamwork and brainy adventure?
No visit would be complete without a sunset aerial yoga class at Trilogy Sanctuary in La Jolla. Floating above the city as the sun dips below the ocean is pure magic. After class, we’d grab tacos from The Taco Stand and bring them to Windansea Beach for an impromptu picnic—one of my favorite ways to end the day.
Sprinkled throughout the week would be hikes at Torrey Pines, coffee from Lofty Coffee, and maybe a spontaneous dance class or breathwork workshop—because life’s too short not to explore a little. San Diego has such a vibrant mix of nature, creativity, and conscious community… I’d want my best friend to feel all of it.

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There are so many incredible people who’ve supported me along the way, and not nearly enough space to name them all—but a few stand out as anchors on this journey.
Karlyn and Bri: thank you for always being by my side and holding space for me when I needed it most. Your presence has been medicine. Sunshine for life.
To Tamal Dodge and Sesa O’Connor—thank you for being my first teachers and mentors on the path of yoga. Your guidance shaped the way I show up and teach today.
Jackie Smyth, for leading the most unforgettable retreat in Bali and for inspiring me to step beyond fear—you helped ignite a vision I hadn’t fully seen for myself.
And when it comes to the heart of my business, I have to dedicate this shoutout to Alexa Silvaggio. She walked beside me through some of the hardest parts of my healing journey, reminded me of my worth when I’d forgotten it, and made me feel so loved, seen, and held. She’s the one who sparked the fire in me to lead my first yoga retreat—and I’ll forever be grateful for her love, her magic, and the way she’s helped me become who I am today.
