Meet Arielle Estoria | Word weaver. Poet, Author. Actor

We had the good fortune of connecting with Arielle Estoria and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Arielle, what led you to pursuing a creative path professionally?
I didn’t necessarily set out to be an artist or creative, I just have always had been and when it came time to decide what I wanted to do — it was almost a no brainer.
I think there are some people who don’t necessarily pursue creative lives because we’re actively choosing it but because it’s actively choosing us. I wish I could be content in just a good ol 9-5 that I like decently enough and keep building in that space but that is just not how I was wired to show up. I say I have been created to create, I think a lot of us have been and so with that understanding, everyday I try to actively pursue and honor that.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
I call myself a poet, a speaker, a feeler, and a storyteller but really, I think of myself as someone who holds space for people to remember who they are. Whether it’s on stage, behind a mic, on the yoga mat, or through a piece of writing, my art is about bridging the beautiful and the broken, the messy and the miraculous.
What sets my work apart is that it’s less about performance and more about presence. I don’t create just to entertain, I create to connect, to transform to invite in. I want people to feel seen, held, and reminded that softness is strength. That showing up as your full self with all the flaws, fears, magic and all is a radical and beautiful act.
My absolute favorite part of this work and the moments I’m most proud of is when someone comes up to me after a poem or a workshop or a talk and says, “I haven’t been able to articulate it but you said everything I’ve been wanting to or trying to say but I just didn’t have the words for it.” or “Are you reading my journal or something because why are you in my head!” and then the tears of invitation which I am honored by every time. That’s the gift of this work. Not the stages or the applause, but the shared reminder that we’re not alone in all this.
Nothing in this life is easy unfortunately, that’s all part of the magic too. There were SO many seasons of doubt, comparison, burnout, so many moments when I felt too much or not enough. And even ten years into this work, I still have those moments. But I know I was made for this work and that’s what keeps me going, keeps me reminded that it’s not just something I do it’s who I am. One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that your purpose, your art, your creativity, your gift will make room for you but you have to be brave enough to walk through the doors and with confidence that you belong there, that you have something to offer because you do! I have learned to trust my gut, that if something doesn’t feel aligned, don’t do it, that saying no is necessary and that rest is part of the creative process too. Oh and RAISE THEM RATES!
One thing I would want the world to know about me… or my “brand” would be that ultimately, I’m not here to impress you. I’m here to invite you, into deeper connection with yourself and others, the space and permission to feel and feel deeply w and with the sacred, magical, beautiful art of being human. My work is a mirror. My words are medicine. And my story is still unfolding, just like yours so basically I want you to know not one thing about me but let it be a door, an invitation for knowing yourself more deeply.

Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
Gosh there are so many good places in LA and it’s really a treat!
I would probably want to venture to a Great White, grab a coffee and breakfast burrito, meander to a beach somewhere, grab a Jennis Ice Cream before dinner somewhere yummy.
There is always so much happening all over Los Angeles so it’s just a matter of what you wake up feeling like doing!

Shoutout is all about shouting out others who you feel deserve additional recognition and exposure. Who would you like to shoutout?
There is truly a long list of individuals I could speak to for this. My parents, for letting me be and actively placing me in situations where I could find myself and soar. My brother friend Michael for seeing the poet in me before I did. My Poetry Coach Brian for teaching me everything I know. husband for being a constant support. the list goes on truly!
