We had the good fortune of connecting with Kacee Johnson and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Kacee, what habits do you feel helped you succeed?

I believe consistency, continuous learning, and building strong client relationships have been key to my success. Staying up to date with trends and techniques ensures I’m always offering the best to my clients. Being reliable and professional has helped me build trust and a loyal client base. Also, I truly love what I do, and that passion keeps me motivated to keep growing and improving.

Let’s talk shop? Tell us more about your career, what can you share with our community?
My career as a hairstylist has been an incredible journey of passion, dedication, and growth. What sets me apart is my commitment to continuous learning, staying on top of the latest trends, and truly listening to my clients to give them a look that makes them feel confident and beautiful.

One of the things I’m most proud of is the relationships I’ve built with my clients. I love creating a space where people feel comfortable, heard, and excited about their hair. It’s more than just styling—it’s about making people feel their best.

Getting to where I am today wasn’t always easy. Like any career, there were challenges—long hours, self-doubt, and moments where I had to push myself out of my comfort zone. But I overcame those obstacles through perseverance, hard work, and the support of amazing mentors like Mely, who helped guide me along the way.

One of the biggest lessons I’ve learned is that growth never stops. This industry is always evolving, and staying passionate and open to learning is key. I want the world to know that my work isn’t just about hair—it’s about artistry, confidence, and connection. My goal is to continue inspiring others, whether it’s my clients, fellow stylists, or aspiring hairstylists just starting out.
