Meet Jea Delos Santos | Party Designer

We had the good fortune of connecting with Jea Delos Santos and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Jea, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
My kids are my biggest inspiration for starting this business. Each time I plan their birthday parties, I love making them beautiful and memorable. Growing up, I didn’t get to experience those kinds of celebrations, so seeing their happiness fills me with joy. It feels like my own dream party comes true through them. That’s what drives me to create those same unforgettable moments for other families and make their celebrations just as special.

Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
My business focuses on creating unforgettable party experiences through high-quality party rentals and decorations. We offer everything from bounce houses and photo booths to custom backdrops and décor. What sets us apart is our attention to detail, cleanliness, and customer care. I always ensure that the equipment we provide is not only of the highest quality but also well-maintained and safe for all ages. I take pride in being able to offer these services at prices that fit a variety of budgets, without compromising on the quality.
I’m most proud of how we’ve grown organically through word-of-mouth and client recommendations. It’s rewarding to see how the hard work and dedication I put into making each event special has resonated with so many people.
Getting to where we are today wasn’t easy. Like many small businesses, we faced challenges, from managing finances to marketing ourselves in a competitive market. One of the biggest challenges was balancing family life while building the business. But the support from my husband, kids, family and close friends has been a cornerstone of my journey. Their encouragement gave me the strength to keep pushing through, even when things got tough.
I’ve learned many valuable lessons along the way, like the importance of being adaptable, staying organized, and always putting the client first. One of the key things I want the world to know about my business is that it’s a labor of love. I didn’t grow up having big or beautiful birthday parties, so it’s always been my dream to create memorable experiences for others, especially for children. Making kids and families happy is what drives me, and seeing their joy when they see the final setup makes all the hard work worth it.
At the core of my brand is the belief that everyone deserves to have a beautiful event, no matter their budget. We offer affordability, without sacrificing quality or experience, and I’m so proud of that.

Let’s say your best friend was visiting the area and you wanted to show them the best time ever. Where would you take them? Give us a little itinerary – say it was a week long trip, where would you eat, drink, visit, hang out, etc.
If my relatives, who mostly have kids, were visiting San Diego for a week, I’d plan a fun-filled itinerary with something for everyone. We’d start with breakfast at our favorite family spot, Aunt Emma’s, known for their famous pancakes that the kids absolutely love. Afterward, we’d visit Balboa Park for a day at the San Diego Zoo, where the kids can enjoy seeing the animals up close.
For beach day, we’d head to Coronado Beach—perfect for families. The kids could play in the sand while we relax by the water. Lunch would be at Burger Lounge, a casual spot with something for everyone.
Midweek, we’d spend a day at LEGOLAND California Resort in Carlsbad, enjoying the rides and attractions. Afterward, we’d head over to Dumpling Inn & Shanghai Saloon in Clairemont for a delicious meal with great service. Then, we’d grab some Korean-style ice cream at Somi Somi, where the kids will love the fish-shaped cones filled with sweet treats, making it a perfect spot to catch up and unwind.
Later in the week, we’d explore Seaport Village, where the kids can ride the carousel while we shop and take in the waterfront views. A stop at the New Children’s Museum would also be on the list for some interactive fun.
For outdoor adventures, we’d visit La Jolla Cove to see the sea lions and explore tide pools, followed by a treat at Bobboi Natural Gelato. To wrap up the trip, we’d spend time at Mission Bay Park, renting bikes or pedal boats and enjoying a family picnic. Dinner at Phil’s BBQ would be the perfect way to end the visit, with hearty meals and a laid-back atmosphere.

The Shoutout series is all about recognizing that our success and where we are in life is at least somewhat thanks to the efforts, support, mentorship, love and encouragement of others. So is there someone that you want to dedicate your shoutout to?
I want to dedicate my shoutout to my family and friends, especially my husband and kids. Without their unwavering support, love, and encouragement, I wouldn’t have been able to manage my business, and it simply wouldn’t have happened. My husband has been my rock through it all, and my kids inspire me every day to keep going. They’ve all played such a huge part in my success, and I’m forever grateful to them.
