We had the good fortune of connecting with Tima K. and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Tima, can you walk us through the thought-process of starting your business?
My thought process behind starting my own business as an artist painter revolves around my passion for art, my desire for creative freedom, and the opportunity to share my vision with others.
From a young age, painting has been an integral part of my identity. Turning this passion into a profession allows me to do what I love daily.
Working for myself provides the autonomy to explore different styles and themes, keeping my work authentic. The ability to connect with broader audience and influence others through my art is profoundly fulfilling.

Can you open up a bit about your work and career? We’re big fans and we’d love for our community to learn more about your work.
My art focuses on painting nature in two distinct styles: Realism and Abstract Expressionism.
Depending on what I’m painting, I shift between these styles, allowing my emotions to guide the creative process. This dual approach sets me apart, as it enables me to capture the essence of nature both as it is and as it feels. My realistic pieces highlight the intricate beauty of nature, while my abstract expressionist works convey its emotional and dynamic aspects. This contrast allows viewers to experience nature in diverse and profound ways.
Currently, I am excited about a new series that merges these styles, exploring the tension and harmony between the tangible and the abstract in natural landscapes. This project has challenged me creatively and opened up new possibilities for expressing my vision. I can’t wait to share it with my audience and see how it resonates with them.

Reaching my current professional status was a journey filled with challenges and perseverance, but the passion for my art kept me motivated throughout.
Balancing another job necessary for financial stability with my passion for painting has been challenging yet rewarding. I overcame this challenge with time management, where I dedicated early mornings, late nights, and days off to painting.

I have learned along the way
– Persistence and patience: Consistent effort and patience have been crucial to my gradual success.
– Networking: Building connections has led to collaborative opportunities and increased visibility.
– Embrace your style: Staying true to my blend of realistic landscapes and abstract expressionism has distinguished my work.
– Self-care: Balancing work and art requires prioritizing self-care to maintain creativity and avoid burnout.

My story is one of resilience and passion, showing that it’s possible to pursue artistic dreams while managing a full time job. I hope to inspire others to follow their passions and find their unique voice through my work.
Through my art, I offer a sanctuary where emotions are immortalized in vibrant hues and timeless forms, inviting others to join me on a journey of discovery and introspection.
