We had the good fortune of connecting with Lily Fallah and we’ve shared our conversation below.

Hi Lily, how has your background shaped the person you are today?

I’m Lily Fallah, a Financial Planner and Chartered Special Needs Consultant® based in Carlsbad, CA. Originally from Los Angeles, my journey led me to San Diego to be closer to family.

Growing up with an older cousin, who has Autism, has been a defining aspect of my life. This close relationship sparked a deep-seated passion to make a meaningful impact on the special needs community. As I began my career, I realized early on that I wanted to go beyond conventional financial planning. My goal became clear: to provide comprehensive financial guidance, offering families a roadmap for their own lives, and a secure plan for their loved ones long after they are here on earth.

Earning the Chartered Special Needs Consultant® designation, a distinction held by a limited number of financial planners, validated my commitment to this cause. This designation deepened my understanding and the resources available for my clients, and represents my dedication to serving a community that often faces unique financial circumstances.

In both a personal and professional capacity, I am deeply involved with the special needs community. Proudly serving on the board of the ARC of San Diego, the largest provider of special needs services in the region, I hold roles as Treasurer and Chairman of the Investment & Finance Committee. I love actively contributing to the well-being and financial security of a wide range of individuals and families.

Alright, so let’s move onto what keeps you busy professionally?

I’ve always believed that financial planning is more than just numbers on a spreadsheet; it’s about empowering families to achieve their dreams and navigate life’s uncertainties with confidence. My journey as a financial planner has been deeply rooted in this belief; Particularly in my passion for working with young families and those with special needs children.

What sets me apart in my career is my unwavering dedication to understanding the unique needs and aspirations of each family I work with. I take the time to listen attentively, to empathize with their challenges, and to tailor financial strategies that align with their values and goals. This personalized approach is not just a service; it’s a commitment to building long-lasting relationships based on trust and mutual respect.

I’m most proud of the positive impact I’ve been able to make in the lives of the families I serve. Whether it’s helping them secure their children’s educational future, providing peace of mind through comprehensive insurance coverage, or creating robust investment plans, seeing my clients achieve financial stability and pursue their dreams brings me immense joy and fulfillment.

However, the path to where I am today hasn’t been easy. Like any profession, there were challenges along the way. I encountered moments of self-doubt and faced obstacles that seemed insurmountable. Yet, through perseverance, resilience, and a relentless commitment to learning and growth, I overcame these challenges one step at a time.

One of the most valuable lessons I’ve learned is the importance of adaptability in an ever-changing financial landscape. Markets fluctuate, regulations evolve, and personal circumstances shift – being able to pivot and adjust strategies accordingly is crucial in delivering meaningful outcomes for my clients.

Another lesson is the power of collaboration. No one achieves success alone, and I’m deeply grateful for the support of mentors, colleagues, and clients who have guided and inspired me throughout my journey.

As for what I want the world to know about me and my brand, it’s simple – I’m not just a financial planner; I’m a partner in my clients’ journey towards financial well-being and prosperity. My story is one of passion, empathy, and dedication to making a difference in the lives of those I serve. And I’m committed to continuing this journey, empowering families to thrive today and tomorrow.
