Meet Ms. Cindy Q. Roo | Bambini Montessori Founder

We had the good fortune of connecting with Ms. Cindy Q. Roo and we’ve shared our conversation below.
Hi Ms. Cindy, what was your thought process behind starting your own business?
Being a 25-year-old Mexican mother who is also a widow, the head of the family, and someone who has high goals but faces many obstacles, I can understand how important it is to create an environment where we can have a positive impact on a child’s life. Since I started the Bambini Montessori Preschool in 2011 based on a passion for education and a desire to positively influence young minds, I have learned about the children’s strengths and how to help them develop a healthy sense of self-worth in addition to the Montessori philosophy and the Spanish immersion method. I acknowledged the children’s emotions, assisted with their mental health, and encouraged their strong sense of self-development. In addition to learning Spanish from scratch, I ran my own daycare and taught young children the Montessori technique, which helped me foster an inclusive environment. As I was thinking, I realized how crucial early childhood education is and how much power it has to influence a child’s destiny. In addition to fostering academic growth, my goal was to establish a supportive and welcoming atmosphere that would support children’s social, emotional, and language development.
The child-centered approach of the Montessori philosophy, which encourages kids to take an active role in their education, is what drew me in. It encourages self-reliance, analytical thinking, and a passion for education.
Furthermore, the decision to include Spanish immersion in the curriculum was made specifically to introduce kids to a second language at a young age. Studies have demonstrated that young children learn languages remarkably well, and bilingualism has many positive cognitive effects. I wanted to open doors to a multicultural environment and give them a head start on becoming global citizens by offering a Spanish immersion program.
All in all, my reasoning was based on a sincere conviction about the value of education, a love of raising young brains, and a dedication to giving young children a rich and fulfilling upbringing.
Alright, so for those in our community who might not be familiar with your business, can you tell us more?
I’ve always known that my passions are teaching and participating in the childhoods of children, as I’ve already shown. This is why, after graduating from high school in Mexico, I started studying child development. After learning more about the Montessori philosophy, I made the decision to enroll. It was twenty years ago, at the age of twenty-one. I was then blessed with two daughters, Cindy and Brianna, who are now 17 and 19, respectively, after I got married. Brianna is a senior in high school, and Cindy is a first-year college student in New York City. A Mexican widow found it challenging to make ends meet as a single mother in the United States. However, I never gave up. Even if there were times when I was frustrated, I now comprehend that each day I put my all in the effort to achieve my dreams. When I reflect on those moments when I wanted to work hard to achieve my goals, everything seemed perfect. That’s why I give it my all each and every day and inspire the Bambini Montessori Staff to do the same, work together as a team, and be a good role model and healthy self-esteem builder for our children.
Any places to eat or things to do that you can share with our readers? If they have a friend visiting town, what are some spots they could take them to?
In Encinitas, California, Bambini Montessori Spanish Academy is situated in a lovely and secure neighborhood. The closeness to three beaches ought to foster a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere for both the staff and students.
We like taking walks on the beach. Encinitas has a strong surf culture, and it’s great that even non-surfers may try their hand at surfing here. And our top picks for great cuisine when you’re in the mood are Panikin Coffee & Bakery, Al Buona Forchetta, and Burger Hot.
Like in a small town, many parents ride their bicycles to drop off their kids at school, and we adore that Bambini Montessori Spanish Academy is a vibrant and fun place for everyone to be involved in addition to being an excellent place for education.
Biking is a popular form of transportation in the town where Bambini Montessori Spanish Academy is situated. It ought to evoke a warm, inviting environment akin to a small town.
In addition to encouraging a sustainable and healthful way of living, allowing children and parents to ride to school enhances their whole experience. It’s a pleasure to see families enjoying the great Encinitas scenery while out for a leisurely bicycle ride before dropping their kids off at the academy.
It feels like Bambini Montessori Spanish Academy is more than simply a school; it’s a location where families can join together and take advantage of Encinitas’ lively and friendly environment. It’s a unique and fun setting for those involved because of the safe location, three beaches, surf culture, and delicious culinary alternatives.
